Social Work Solutions Canada Welcomes Darcie Robertson To Our Team As New Adjunct Child and Family Social Worker

Social Work Solutions Canada is delighted to welcome Darcie Robertson to our team effective immediately as a new Adjunct Child and Family Social Worker. Darcie is immediately stepping in to address some of our backlog in referrals, particularly relating to children. Darcie can be booked for an appointment by calling our office number 905-388-2157 and follow the prompts.

Darcie Robertson is a Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years experience working with young people and their families. Working from a strengths-based approach, Darcie prioritizes trust, non-judgement, and mutual understanding in the therapeutic relationship.

Darcie holds an Undergraduate’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto. Prioritizing the relationship with clients as the foundation of change, Darcie augments this through ongoing professional trainings and certifications. Darcie has completed training in a wide variety of treatment modalities, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy.

Following the completion of her MSW, Darcie worked in Hospital Outpatient and Community-based settings with children, youth, and families encountering significant stressors and mental health. While working as a Social Worker at Brantford Hospital Darcie expanded her knowledge and experience to working with adults facing temporary and longer-term mental health issues.

Darcie’s most recent work experience was with Halton Regional Police Service as a Community Safety and Well-Being Social Worker (this could alternatively be the Youth Team Social Worker). With over 4 years experience working within a local police service, Darcie is familiar with the uniqueness of an Officer’s role within the larger community.

Outside of work, Darcie enjoys (currently virtual) meeting with friends, being creative through crafts, and going for hikes.
